Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) (German Development Cooperation)

GIZ hosts the global Programme Management Office. GIZ engages in policy dialogue with the Governments of India and Thailand and thereby supports sarmap and IRRI in the implementation of the nation-wide rice production monitoring systems as well as Swiss Re and other reinsurers in applying the technology for insurance purposes in both countries. GIZ is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).  www.giz.de
